Fall Choral Concert Wednesday, Oct. 29 At West High School

The West High School Music Department and The Columbine Chorale will present a Fall Choral Concert on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m. in the West High School auditorium. West High School is located at 951 Elati St.

As part of its SCFD (Scientific and Cultural Facilities District) commitment to educational outreach during the 2003-2004 season, the Columbine Chorale is conducting a choral music workshop with the choirs at West High School.

The primary objective of this workshop is to provide the singers at West High School with an opportunity to participate in a choral experience that might be otherwise be unavailable to them. Students will rehearse and perform six different pieces jointly with the Columbine Chorale. The West High School Concert Choir will be featured as will Lariat, the small vocal ensemble at West. The Columbine Chorale will also perform several pieces from their own repertoire.

The Columbine Chorale was founded in 1987 by well-known Denver-area choral conductor Richard Eichenberger as a chamber choir of 35 selected voices and has since been enlarged to 60 singers. The Chorale was created to provide its singers and audiences with choral music experiences of the highest quality. It is the fundamental goal of the Chorale to present performances of great choral literature in a manner that reflects the Chorale's deep sense of commitment to the aesthetic beauty and integrity of the music itself. The Columbine Chorale is currently co-directed by Richard and Brian Eichenberger.

Please come and enjoy this program of choral music. Admission is free.

For more information, contact Brian Eichenberger at West, 303-620-5387.
