Dismissal Day Care with “KC Kids Camp” Oct. 20, 21

“Mega Monsters & Myths” (art, science and games planned around monster myths) is the theme of dismissal day care being provided by “KC Kids Camp” Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 21 and 22.

Offered through the district’s Kaleidoscope Corner program, dismissal day care will be provided at the following seven sites throughout the district:

  • Ebert Elementary School, 410 Park Ave. (at 23rd and Glenarm near downtown Denver)
  • Green Valley School, 4100 Jericho St. (in Green Valley Ranch at 42nd Ave. and Jericho St.)
  • Southmoor Elementary School, 3755 S. Magnolia Way (at S. Magnolia Way and Monaco Blvd.)
  • Park Hill Elementary School, 5050 E. 19th Ave. (at Elm St.)
  • Sabin Elementary School, 3050 S. Vrain St. (at E. Cornell Ave.)
  • Academia Ana Marie Sandoval, 3655 Wyandot St. (near West 38th Ave. and Wyandot St.) Note: this site accepts three- and four-year-olds
  • Steele Elementary School, 320 S. Marion St. (at Alameda Blvd.) Note: this site accepts four-year-olds

Dismissal day care will be offered from 7 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. There are no classes for students on Monday, Oct. 20 in Denver Public Schools. On Tuesday, Oct. 21 students in 19 schools on the continuous year calendar have classes, but there are no classes for schools on the traditional year calendar.

Schools on the continuous year calendar are: Amesse, Barrett, Bryant-Webster, Cheltenham, Colfax, Columbian, Del Pueblo, Eagleton, Fairmont, Ford, Harrington, Johnson, Maxwell, McGlone, Mitchell, Smedley, Smith, Valdez, and Wyman elementary schools.

Register by Monday, Oct. 13, and the cost is $60. Register on Tuesday or Wednesday, Oct. 14 or 15, and the cost is $75. No registrations will be taken after 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15. Parents must register students for both days.

Kaleidoscope Corner families can now register over the phone by calling the registration office at 720-423-3761. DPS families who are not Kaleidoscope Corner families must call the registration office to make an appointment.

Registrations will be taken on a first-call basis only. Program questions may be directed to Kelly at 720-423-3828.
