Jim Fay, the author of “Parenting with Love and Logic: Teaching Children Responsibility,” will speak Monday, Sept. 29 from 7 to 9 p.m.

Fay will speak at Westerly Creek Elementary School, 8800 E. 28th Ave. The event costs $9.50 and reservations are recommended. The event is being co-sponsored by Westerly Creek and Odyssey Charter School; the two schools share the same new school building.

Join Jim Fay for plenty of laughs and lots of practical solutions for some of the most common challenges facing parents, grandparents and anybody who takes care of kids. Fay will provide easy-to-learn strategies for children of all ages that put an end to arguing, back talk, and power struggles; teach children to listen to you…the first time; help children get motivated to learn and behave in the classroom; help children feel great about themselves; and make raising kids fun instead of frantic.

Fay has more than 30 years of experience as an administrator and teacher. He has been a professional speaker and consultant for more than 20 years, working with many schools and parent organizations. He is the author of more than 200 articles, books, CDs, and audio and videocassettes on the subject of parenting and discipline.
