The Board of Education will hold a series of meetings on Thursday, Sept. 18, including a special hearing for charter school applicants.
Following is a review of the agendas:
2 p.m. - Work Session, Room 706 (please note some items may not be considered until after the Regular Meeting)
- Review of Regular Meeting agenda items
- Denver Dozen
- Individual Athletic Passes
- Policies and Procedures for Parent Involvement
- DPS 2003-2004 Priorities
3 p.m. - Special Hearing, Charter School Applications
- Six charter school applicants will each have 20 minutes to present an overview of their proposal.
5 p.m. - Regular Meeting
- Presentation - Student achievement and tax increases; Rudy Andras, Dain Rauscher
- Presentation - West High School Small Learning Communities
- Motion to approve the agreement between Denver Public Schools and the Association of Building and Grounds Workers
- A series of motions related to the planned merger of the Denver Public Schools Retirement Association and the Public Employees Retirement Association.
The work session will be held in Room 706; both the 3 p.m. special hearing and the 5 p.m. Regular Meeting will be held in the first floor board room.
