“La Entrada” Tuesday, Sept. 16 At North High School

North High School will celebrate Mexican Independence Day (Tuesday, Sept. 16) with “La Entrada,” a school-wide morning ‘walk in’ ceremony to honor the school’s multiculturalism, educational program and community.

“La Entrada” begins at 6:45 a.m. at the front entrance to the school. The winners of the “Freedom Through Education” poster and essay contests will be announced. After the ceremony, parents and community members are invited to visit classrooms and observe students throughout the day. A reception is planned for 8:45 a.m., and at 9:20 a.m., the school will host a cultural assembly with Aztec and Folkloric dancers.
