Businesses Can Connect With DPS Students

Interested in hiring teenagers, speaking at schools or offering tours of your workplace? At no cost, Denver businesses now can connect with over 20,000 middle and high school students in Denver Public Schools.

From eighth graders to high school seniors, students are using a secure, easy-to-use web tool – PathFinder – to post electronic portfolios and resumes. Participating businesses can tap into that pool of potential employees and make an investment in the future of the community by positively affecting a child’s life.

“St. Mary Land & Exploration Company has partnered with DPS for the simple reason that we believe a child's ultimate success and happiness is directly related to finding a career that balances talent, passion, education and money,” said Mark Hellerstein, President & CEO of St. Mary Land & Exploration Company. “Only by direct contact with business people can a student find a career that meets his or her needs. We must help them find that knowledge and opportunity.”

PathFinder is online at http://pathfinder.denver.k12.co.us. For more information, contact Stacy Miller, Denver School-To-Career Partnership Office, 720-423-3582 or email stacy_miller@dpsk12.org.
