George Washington, East High Schools Receive National Recognition; Representative Judd To Present Tribute Tomorrow To George Washington High School

Earlier this month, Newsweek magazine released its list of top public high schools in the country based on the number of International Baccalaureate (IB) and Advanced Placement (AP) students. Nationwide, 700 of the nation’s 14,000 schools were recognized as having the strongest AP or IB programs in the country; two Denver high schools - East and George Washington - were listed among the top schools.

At 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 25 at George Washington High School, 655 S. Monaco Parkway, Representative Joel Judd will present a tribute to his alma mater - George Washington High School - to congratulate the faculty and students for being ranked one of the top public high schools in America. Board of Education President Elaine Gantz Berman and principal Mario Williams will also speak.
