Force Elementary School will stage two colorful field days Thursday and Friday, May 8 and 9, with runners bringing in the United States flag as part of the opening ceremonies and students organized by endangered species groups.

Younger students from grades one, two and rooms 210 – 212 will participate May 8; all others will participate May 9. Each day’s event begins at 9:10 a.m. and runs for about two hours.

Events include tug-of-war, speed stacks (cup stacking), running for speed and endurance, hoop shoot, jump rope for endurance, sack race, softball throw and strength climb.

Every Force student will wear a name badge and a picture of his or her endangered animal.

On Friday, the Denver School of the Arts jazz band will also perform.
