2003-2004 Participating Elementary Schools

To register for kindergarten or Early Childhood Education at Option 1 or Option 2 schools (see below), contact the school or the area superintendent’s office. School phone numbers are accessible online at dps.schools.net.

Option 1 Schools
These schools can readily accommodate students turning five between Sept. 16 and Nov. 15 this fall:

Asbury, Barnum, Beach Court, Bradley, Bryant-Webster, Carson, Centennial, Challenges Choices and Images Charter, Cheltenham, Colfax, Columbian, Connections Academy, Dora Moore, Eagleton, Ebert, Edison, Ellis, Fairmont, Fairview, Godsman, Johnson, Kaiser, Knapp, Lincoln, Marrama, Munroe, Newlon, Philips, Rosedale, Sabin, Samuels, Smith, Stapleton, Teller, Traylor, Whiteman and Wyatt-Edison Charter

Option 2 Schools
These schools will start a waiting list for students turning five between Sept. 16 and Nov. 15 and will decide in August, based on demand, whether they can accommodate more children:

Archuleta, Barrett, College View, Columbine, Del Pueblo, Doull, Fallis, Ford , Gilpin, Greenlee, Gust, Hallett, Harrington, Holm, Lowry, Maxwell, McGlone, McKinley-Thatcher, Mitchell, Montclair, Oakland, Palmer, Remington, Schmitt, Smedley, Swansea , University Park, Valdez, Valverde, Whittier and Wyman

Option 3 Schools
These schools will implement the policy a year from now – for the 2004-2005 school year – if an evaluation of the pilot in March, 2004 suggests that expansion of the program should continue district-wide:

Amesse, Ashley, Bromwell, Brown, Castro, Cory, Cowell, Crofton, Denison, Denver Arts and Technology Academy, Force, Garden Place, Goldrick, Grant Ranch, Green Valley, Greenwood, Knight, McMeen, Odyssey Charter, Park Hill, Pioneer, Sandoval, Schenck, Slavens, Southmoor, Steck, Stedman and Steele
