The Board of Education will hold a work session at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 29 in Room 706 at the administration building, 900 Grant St., and a Special Meeting at 4 p.m. in the first floor Board Room.

Following is an overview of the agenda items:

3 p.m. – Work Session
1. Review of Board Meeting agenda items.
2. Review of the 2004-2005 calendar.

4 p.m. – Special Meeting
1. Arbitrator’s reports of two DCTA administrative transfer grievances.
2. Policy revision for JEB – Entrance Age Requirements – allowing children to enroll in kindergarten if they reach the age of five on or before Nov. 15 rather than Sept. 15 of the year of enrollment. Parallel changes would be made in enrollment guidelines for early childhood education and first grade. The policy revision would be mandated effective for the 2004-2005 school year and optional in 2003-2004.
3. Charter renewal for Wyatt Edison Charter School.
4. Proposed revisions to the contract between DPS and Connections Academy.
