See the classrooms and meet the teachers when Fairmont Elementary School hosts an Open House Friday, May 23. The event will also give parents a chance to sign up for the new Dual Language classes – for Early Childhood Education (ECE) and kindergarten students – that will be offered beginning with the 2003-2004 school year.

The school plans to add a grade level each year until a complete strand (ECE-fifth grade) of Dual Language classes is available. The school expects to produce students who are reading and writing in both Spanish and English. The Dual Language classrooms will be a school-within-a-school at Fairmont; regular classroom experiences are also available.

The Open House will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Parents may also sign up for Kaleidoscope Corner, which offers child care before and after school.
