Morey Middle School teacher Dan Buehler has earned the chance to attend workshops presented by the staff of the National Archives and Records Administration in College Park, Maryland.

Buehler’s lesson plan, “Bidding Adieu: On Teaching the Historical Significance of George Washington’s Farewell Address” was entered in a lesson plan competition organized by National History Day. The award includes a funded trip to participate in “Primarily Teaching: A Summer Workshop for Educators on Using Historical Documents in the Classroom” and recognition at the National History Day Award Ceremony on June 19. Buehler’s lesson plan will also be featured in the “Our Documents Teacher Sourcebook.”
