The Video Cinema Arts Department at the Denver School of the Arts will host its final film festival of the school year on Thursday and Friday, May 22 and 23, at 7 p.m. at the school, 150 S. Pearl St. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for students.
Featured will be the work of 38 students from sixth through twelfth grades. Genres include dramas, comedies, award-winning documentaries, music videos and more. The documentaries will also be seen when the school’s team competes in the National History Day Competition in College Park, Maryland in June.
A silent auction will precede the festival beginning at 6:30 p.m. Proceeds will be used to help equip the department’s new facility when the school moves to a new location in northeast Denver next year.
