Denver Public Schools will sponsor the summer food service program for children beginning Thursday, June 5 and ending on Friday, July 18 at all schools listed below except Barrett, Ford, McGlone, and Smith elementary schools. These five schools will begin service on Monday, June 16. Service will be from 11 a.m. to noon. The service will not operate on weekends or on Friday, July 4. Free lunches will be provided to all children ages one through 18.
Adults can purchase meals at a cost of $2.90 each if they eat at the school and at $3 each for meals carried out.
The summer food service program for children is under the direction of the Denver Public Schools Department of Food and Nutrition Services.
Meals will be provided at the following schools:
Northeast Area
Ashley Elementary, 1914 Syracuse St.; Barrett Elementary, 2900 Richard Allen Court; Columbine Annex, 2727 Columbine; Gilpin Elementary, 2949 California St.; Randolph Middle School, 3955 Steele St.; Smith Elementary, 3590 Jasmine St.; Swansea Elementary, 4650 Columbine St.; and Whittier Elementary, 2480 Downing St.
Southwest Area
Barnum Elementary, 85 Hooker St.; Castro Elementary, 845 S. Lowell Blvd.; College View Elementary, 2675 S. Decatur St.; Knapp Elementary, 500 S. Utica St.; Munroe Elementary, 3440 W. Virginia Ave.; and Schenck Elementary, 1300 S. Lowell Blvd.
Montbello Area
Archuleta Elementary, 16000 E. Maxwell Place; Ford Elementary, 14500 Maxwell Place; Greenwood Elementary, 5130 Durham Court; and McGlone Elementary, 4500 Crown Blvd.
