This summer students will have the opportunity to attend nine different one-week specialty camps offered by Kaleidoscope Corner, a licensed childcare program available at select schools in Denver for children in kindergarten through fifth grade.
The camps are: The Great Outdoors; Super Star Sports; Chemistry Café; Where in the World is KC Kid?; Art Smart; Makin’ Shakin’ Music; Way Out Water; Action Roll ‘Em; and Gross Stuff.
Camps will rotate from Monday, June 2 – Friday, Aug. 1 among the following nine DPS schools from 7 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. daily:
- Bromwell Elementary School, 2500 E. 4th Ave.
- Cory Elementary School, 1550 S. Steele St.
- Kaiser Elementary School, 4500 S. Quitman St.
- Lowry Elementary School, 8001 E. Cedar Ave.
- McMeen Elementary School, 1000 S. Holly St.
- Samuels Elementary School, 3985 S. Vincennes Court
- Sandoval Elementary School, 3655 Wyandot St.
- Steele Elementary School, 320 S. Marion Parkway
- Teller Elementary School, 1150 Garfield St.
The camps will cost $175 per week; if children sign up for three or more camps the rate is $165 per week.
The registration fee for current Kaleidoscope Corner members is $25 per child or $40 per family and $45 per child or $60 per family for non members. A $25, non-refundable, deposit for each camp is required to reserve space. Deposits will be transferred toward balances at registration deadline.
