South High School students were evacuated for an hour today at approximately 1:30 p.m. after students reported hearing a ticking noise coming from a locker. Students and staff were allowed back into the building at 2:30 p.m. - 15 minutes before the regular dismissal.

The school will be open from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 8 so students can gather homework, books and personal belongings from their lockers. Classrooms will not be open.
