Fairview Elementary School will host “Family Literacy Night” from 5:30 to 7:45 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27.
During the evening, parents of primary students will learn about independent reading, and parents of intermediate students will learn how to beat the test maker at CSAP.
Highlights will include Fairview's second Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) giveaway and the evening will culminate with a spaghetti dinner in the lunchroom for everyone who attends, complete with raffle and prizes.
The event will be held at Fairview Elementary School, 2715 W. 11th Ave. This is the second year Fairview has held “Family Literacy Night.” Norma Giron, Fairview's principal, plans to make it an annual event.
