Rosedale Elementary School will host its second annual “Family Fun Night” on Friday, Feb. 21. The event will raise money for school activities and give students and the community an opportunity to have a night of fun.
“The students have been working so hard lately, we figured it was time to have some fun,” said Celeste Hurd, a member of the Rosedale School Parent Teacher Student Association.
The night will be filled with a wide variety of activities for students, parents, teachers and community members to enjoy.
Some of the events include a face-painting table, a bake sale, a silent auction (with gifts donated from teachers) and a chance for students to have their hair styled. Food and root beer floats will also be sold.
Proceeds from the event will be used to help support learning activities and enrichment programs at the school, such as field trips to the Denver Symphony. Some of the proceeds will support a special xeriscape project that fifth grade students will start in April.
The event will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Rosedale Elementary School, 2330 S. Sherman St.
