Students and staff of Marie L. Greenwood Elementary School will honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during two assemblies Thursday, Jan. 16. The first assembly will be held at 9:30 a.m.; the second at 1:30 p.m.

The program will consist of a biographical sketch of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., musical selections including “Lift Every Voice and Sing” and “We Shall Overcome,” choral readings, poetry, and the "I Have A Dream” speech.

Students in kindergarten and grades two through five will present the program. Parents and friends are invited to attend.
