Twelve DPS Students To Be Honored At Annual Beautillion

The Denver Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. recently selected 12 students from Denver Public Schools - from a pool of over 200 outstanding young men - to be honored as a Beau for the 19th Annual Beautillion.
 
The Beautillion honors young men who have strived for excellence in their schools, homes, and communities.

The students are Zane Belton, James Brown and Quincy Shannon (East High School), Donnell Britt and Cameron Caldwell (George Washington High School), Jason Crockett, Leonard King, Gerred Underwood and Jeffrey Vaden II (Thomas Jefferson High School), John Collins Jr. (Manual High School), Bradford Peagler (Montbello High School), and Alan Pettis (Denver School of the Arts).

The Beautillion will be held Dec. 22, 2002 at the Adams Mark Hotel beginning at 4 p.m.

The mission of Jack and Jill is to promote cultural, educational and social enrichment for African-American children, to participate in community service and to support and uphold the African-American family.
