Lincoln Elementary Students Celebrate Veteran’s Day

Lincoln Elementary School (710 S. Pennsylvania) will participate in a Veteran's Day Ceremony on Friday, Nov. 8 at 9:00 a.m. at the flagpole in front of the school. Students, parents and community will gather outside to remember our veteran's and honor those currently serving our country.

“We are thankful for our veteran’s and all the people who work so hard to protect our country and our freedom,” said teacher Nancy Gregorio.

The short ceremony will include the George Washington High School Jr. ROTC under the leadership of Lt. Col. Randy Nielson, Dan Pagliasotti singing the National Anthem, a song by Lincoln's 4th and 5th grade students, members from the Denver School of the Arts playing “Taps” and a visit from a local veteran who served in WWII. Each student will carry a United States flag that they made in their class.

For more information, contact Ms. Gregorio at Lincoln Elementary School at 303-744-1785.
