Denver School of the Arts (DSA) will host an information session to assist families who are interested in learning more about DSA and its programs on Monday, Dec. 2. The event will be held at the school (150 S. Pearl St.). The session will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for middle school students and 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for high school students.

Prospective parents and students are invited to attend this event, hosted by the staff, and meet with representatives from the school. Families will have the opportunity to learn more about DSA’s academic programs and the audition process.

Teachers will also be available to answer questions about the audition process and applications.

DSA is the only comprehensive arts magnet school in the Rocky Mountain region that provides its students the opportunity to nurture their creative talents. In addition to a challenging academic schedule, students can select a major in one of the following areas:

• Creative Writing
• Dance
• Instrumental Music
• Stagecraft/Design
• Video Cinema Arts
• Theatre
• Visual Arts
• Vocal Music

Students must audition annually to be admitted to the school. All applications for the Fall 2003 academic year are due December 13, 2002.
