Northeast Denver Parent Organizing in Education (NEDPOE) Initiative Hosts Organizing Actions Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 6 and 7

The Northeast Denver Parent Organizing in Education (NEDPOE) Initiative, a member of Metro Organizations for People, represents a focused effort to elevate the voice of parents as strong partners in school reform efforts.

This week, NEDPOE will hold two meetings relevant to Denver Public Schools. The first will be Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 6:00 p.m. at Swansea Elementary School (4650 Columbine St.) focusing on safety concerns. This meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m., hosted by the Local Organizing Committee of Our Lady of Grace Church and the Parent Organizing Committee of Swansea Elementary School. The second meeting will be Thursday, Nov. 7 at Harrington Elementary School (2401 E. 37th Ave.), focusing on safety and after-school programs at Harrington.

The Parent Organizing Committee at Harrington will host this meeting.

On December 5, the Parent Organizing Committee at Cole Middle School will also hold a meeting focusing on safety. Cole is located at 3240 Humboldt St. That meeting begins at 6:00 p.m.
