George Washington High School Senior Named Co-host of Teen T.V. Program

George Washington High School Senior Donnell Britt is the new co-host of the interactive teen T.V. program “Positive Spin,” which airs locally on public access station DCTV. The show airs live every Tuesday on Channel 58 at 8:00 p.m., and the recording airs again the following Monday on Channel 57 at 5:30 p.m.

The purpose of Positive Spin is to “showcase the youth in my community, as well as the surrounding communities, who wouldn’t normally get a chance to be on television,” Britt said. “Our intent is to get them exposure, while simultaneously reaching and possibly motivating those watchers and listeners to go beyond the status quo.”

The show will also inform the public of the events that are happening throughout the community. Britt hopes that students and adults will not only watch the program, but will call the show with comments or concerns. Non-profit organizations can call the show to submit announcements that could be promoted on the show.

In addition to co-hosting Positive Spin, Britt is involved in several other activities. He is a Cadet Private in JROTC at George Washington High School, a People-to-People delegate, and an Anti-Defamation League representative, to name a few.

Positive Spin airs locally through basic cable on the DCTV station. For more information on the show, or to submit announcements to the show, call the show at 303-295-4046. George Washington High School is located at 655 S. Monaco St., 303-394-8600.
