The Denver Board of Education has set two meetings for Thursday, Oct. 3.

The tentative agenda items are:

4 p.m., Work Session, Room 706

• Finalizing district goals
• Evaluation process for principals
• “No Child Left Behind” legislation

5 p.m., Regular Meeting, First Floor Board Room

• Resolution declaring a critical shortage of certain classified personnel so retirees can be hired above the 110-day limit
• Amendments to the adopted 2002-2003 budget
• Approval of appropriation of expenditures for 2002-2003

Public comment will be taken at 7 p.m.
