She’s ranked third academically among seniors, is captain of the South High school cross-country team, and president of her class.
This week, the Colorado High School Activities Association, IBM of Colorado, Storage Tek, KOA Radio and the Denver Broncos also named Kaitlin Jones IBM High School Hero of the Week.
Among other achievements cited, Kaitlin volunteers at Ebert Elementary School’s Outreach Program, plays soccer, is president of the school’s National Honor Society group, and has always been ranked second or third in her class all four years of school.
“I strive for perfection - whatever I do, I always want to push myself and do better,” she says. Kaitlin carries a 4.496 grade point average.
Kaitlin will be recognized by KOA Radio on the “Sports Zoo” and at a University of Colorado home football game. In addition, the Denver Broncos will host a reception in February for all the weekly recipients at their headquarters in Littleton.
“Your nomination places you in a special role as a high school activities participant. Take pride in it and continue your outstanding accomplishments in high school activities, the classroom and the community,” said Rhonda Blanford-Green, Assistant Commissioner of CHSAA in a letter to Kaitlin.
