McMeen Elementary School students, families and community members are invited to promote reading at home during the Book Fair Family Event Friday, Oct. 18th. The event will run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Cookies and punch will be served free of charge at the event, sponsored by King Soopers and the McMeen staff.

Families will be encouraged to buy at least one book from the book fair to take home and read. Scholastic is supplying books for different ages at the elementary grade levels. Proceeds from sales will be used to buy new books for the school library.
