All schools in the Montbello area of far northeast Denver are open for school today.

Assistant Area Superintendent Richard Smith made the announcement after Denver police apprehended a man who was involved in a shooting incident this morning at a house in the neighborhood.

Smith said police have indicated the neighborhood is safe and schools should open.
