2002 DPS Credit Union Holiday Art Contest!

Each year Denver Public Schools Credit Union (DPSCU) invites elementary school students to participate in the Corporate Holiday Art Contest. This year’s theme is “What the Winter Holidays Mean to Me.”

Awards

  • The chosen artwork appears on the cover of DPSCU’s corporate holiday card.
  • The winner and runners-up will have their art displayed in the DPSCU Lobby throughout the month of December.
  • The winning student receives $50 and the top five finalists receive $25 gift certificates to deposit into a DPSCU savings account. The winning student’s teacher will also receive $50.
  • The winning student and teacher will have their picture published in DPSCU’s On Money quarterly newsletter.

Contest Rules:

  • Art should be on white paper, 8.5" x 11".
  • Art should be flat; no three-dimensional art. Crayons, colored pencils and watercolor are all acceptable mediums.
  • Please do not add any pre-printed borders, etc. around the edges. The entire 8.5" x 11" sheet should only contain the child’s artwork.
  • Please try to use a winter theme in the holiday card.
  • Students should write a short narrative about “What the Winter Holidays Mean to Me” on the back of their artwork.
  • Each entry must have the student’s name, age, school and classroom written on the back of the entry.
  • Art must be received by Thursday, October 31, 2002 at Denver Public Schools Credit Union, 3700 East Alameda Ave., Attn: Marketing Department.
  • Artwork will not be returned to students.
  • The winner of the contest gives DPSCU permission to print their artwork on the DPSCU 2002 Corporate Holiday Card. The winning student and teacher give their permission to have their picture published in DPSCU’s On Money quarterly newsletter.
