Philips Elementary School will host its back-to-school night and dedicate its new playground during a special gathering Thursday, Sept. 19 beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The dedication ceremony will include a welcome and introduction of the Philips staff by school principal Charles Babb, followed by a formal ribbon cutting ceremony.

Classroom visitations for parents will take place at the end of the ceremony.
