The staff at East High School is reminding all new and freshmen students and their parents that registration continues today through Friday, August 9.

Since Thursday, August 1 East High School has been without a working telephone system and has been unable to contact parents directly. Qwest Communications is currently working on the circuit and repair timelines are not known, said Bud Bullard, Director of Technology Systems for Denver Public Schools.

Today (Wednesday, August 7), registration continues through 4:00 p.m. On Thursday, August 8 registration will run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Friday, August 9 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Next week, returning students may register on Monday, August 12 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, August 13 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesday, August 14 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Freshmen orientation will be Monday, August 19 from 7:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. All freshmen are required to attend on this date. Parents are also welcome to attend. All returning students report back to school on Tuesday, August 20. This will be a regular school day and students should follow their official schedule.
