The Denver Citywide Marching Band took the 5A division trophy at the Colorado State Fair Marching Band competition on Saturday, Aug. 24. The band, composed of high school musicians and dancers from all 11 Denver Public Schools high schools, were judged in parade and concert settings.

Marching band drum majors Michael Rodriquez (Abraham Lincoln High), Brittany Vannoy (Denver School of the Arts) and Chris Rutledge (George Washington High) led the band to victory over many other fine ensembles from across the state of Colorado.
