Board of Education Will Consider Resolution On Proposed "English Only" Ballot Initiative Thursday, August 15

The Board of Education has two meetings scheduled for Thursday, August 15. Please note that the Regular Meeting will begin at 4 p.m., one hour earlier than usual.

Among the agenda items at the Regular Meeting is "Consideration, Discussion and Possible Action" on a proposed ballot initiative that, if approved by Colorado voters, would require English language learners to be taught in English.

Following are the meeting times and some agenda items. A complete agenda will be posted on the board's web site (<http://board.dpsk12.org/>) by noon Thursday.

  3. Consideration, Discussion and Possible Action on Proposed "English Only" Amendment.
