On Saturday, August 24, 2002, the Northeast Park Hill Neighborhood Coalition will sponsor a Community Fun Festival & Neighborhood Picnic. The event, scheduled to run from noon to 6:00 P.M., will be held at the City of Axum Park located at Martin Luther King Boulevard and Cherry Street.

Event organizers want to bring Park Hill community members and business owners together for a fun filled event with hopes of enhancing the Northeast Park Hill neighborhood.

The late-summer event will feature live entertainment by 3-CITSYM national recording artist DOM, Mar-Q, Q-Burst, and many more entertainers. In addition, The Denver Police and Fire Departments will be on hand to provide children's identification cards, safety tips, and live demonstrations. Participants can also expect prize give-aways, face painting for children, and food, fun, and festivity for the entire family.
