The Northeast Area Enrollment Center is open during the summer to serve families who are new to northeast Denver or transferring into an area school. Rather than traveling to many schools to enroll children of different ages, the Enrollment Center is a one-stop shop where parents can register their children for several schools in northeast Denver.
"The goal of the center is to make families feel welcomed and have students be successful at their new schools," said Stacy Turnbull, Enrollment Center Coordinator.
The new center is located in Cole Middle School, room #118, 3240 Humboldt, Denver, CO, 80205. The Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The fax there is 303-391-6598.
The center serves families that will be attending or transferring to one of the following schools: Harrington Elementary, Garden Place Elementary, Mitchell Elementary, Swansea Elementary, Cole Middle School, Bruce Randolph Middle School, and the high schools on the Manual Campus. Non-English speakers are welcome at the center.
Children who are new to the district will be tested at the center in order to better place them at their school. There will be a nurse on staff during the summer and throughout the school year to administer the required shots to attend classes. There is no need to go to the Enrollment Center if your child is staying at his/her school.
If you would like more information regarding the Cole Enrollment Center, please contact Stacy Turnbull at 303-391-6596. The Enrollment Center is a pilot project of the Denver Public Schools. The same service is not available in other areas of the district.
