Eagleton Elementary School (880 Hooker St.) will celebrate the building of a new playground at a ceremony scheduled for Monday, June 3 at 9:30 a.m. Eagleton is a year-round school and will be in session until June 12. Construction on the Eagleton project will not begin until July 8.

The Eagleton project is part of this year's "City 7" playgrounds funded through private and public donations including the Mayor's Office (Housing and Neighborhood Development Services), Denver Public Schools, Gates Family Foundation, Neighborhood Cultures of Denver and the University of Colorado at Denver (UCD).

This year's "City 7" includes Smith, Colfax, Eagleton, Crofton, Columbian, Munroe, and Remington elementary Schools.
