Marcus Houston, a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Denver and running back for the University of Colorado Buffalo football team, will be the featured speaker during the Continuation for fifth-graders at Knight Fundamental Academy.

The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 23. Mr. Houston's comments are expected to begin at about 6:50 p.m.
There are 74 fifth-graders who are finishing their career at Knight, one of the district's magnet schools.

Knight emphasizes basic subjects and features a disciplined learning environment. Active parental involvement is required. Students must perform at or above grade level and daily homework assignments help improve study skills.
