Denver Public Schools sent 36 teams to the state competition of Colorado Destination ImagiNation on April 27. Destination ImagiNation is an international organization that encourages student participants to stretch their minds and think outside the box to develop creative solutions to five different challenges.
Students spend months researching, writing scripts, building props, designing and making costumes, learning to think on their feet, and practicing their solutions to prepare for this competition. In all, 262 teams and over 1,500 students from Kindergarten through twelfth grade from throughout the entire state of Colorado competed.
At the April competition, the following students qualified to represent Denver Public Schools and the state of Colorado at Destination ImagiNation Global Finals at the University of Tennessee May 21-26. They are:
