Bromwell Children Raise $2500 For March of Dimes

Last month, Bromwell Elementary School (2500 E. 4th Ave.) held a health fair that included guests from the fire and police departments as well as health experts for a whole day of activities. Those activities included a jump-rope-a-thon to raise money for children with disabilities.

This afternoon (May 16) at 2:30 p.m., students attending the Center for the Physically Disabled located at Bromwell Elementary School will present a $2500 check to the March of Dimes in room A0. The children will then be treated to ice cream after the presentation.

Nancy Smith and John Gregorio, Bromwell Physical Education Teachers organized the health fair and fundraiser. "We chose to give to the March of Dimes because of the various groups they contribute to and support," said Gregorio. "Some of our own kids at Bromwell have birth defects, so we thought this would be a good way to benefit all children with disabilities."

Kazoo & Co. partnered with Bromwell to support the fair.
