More than 1,000 high school students will take part Friday, May 3 in the annual awards ceremony for the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC).

The event will begin at 10 a.m. at All City Stadium, adjacent to South High School at 1700 E. Louisiana Ave.

More than 350 awards will be presented to individual students. The Board of Education Trophy, presented to an entire school program based on a detailed rating system, will be presented to South High School.

A variety of civic organizations, members of the Denver Board of Education, and others will take part in the awards presentations.
