The Colorado Destination ImagiNation Competition will be held at the University of Denver's Ricks Center for Gifted and Talented on Saturday, April 27.
In all, 262 teams and over 1,500 students from Kindergarten through twelfth grade from throughout the entire state of Colorado will be competing. Denver Public Schools is sending 36 teams to the state competition.
The public is invited to attend all team challenge competitions listed below. Specific competition venues and times are:
- It's Your Move, Elementary Level, 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Gates Field House in the Ritchie Center
- It's Your Move, Middle Level, 8:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m., Gates Field House in the Ritchie Center
- It's Your Move, Secondary Level, 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m., Gates Field House in the Ritchie Center
- On Holiday, Elementary Level, 8:00 a.m. - 3:45 p.m., Ricks Center for Gifted and Talented
- On Holiday, Middle Level, 8:00 a.m. - 3:45 p.m., Gottesfeld Room, 4th Floor of the Ritchie Center
- On Holiday, Secondary Level, 8:00 a.m. - 10:15 a.m., Magness Arena in the Ritchie Center

The Awards Ceremony is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Magness Arena in the Ritchie Center.
Colorado will be sending first and second place teams from each of the competition categories and levels to Global Finals at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville on May 21-26.
