Community Is "United In Learning" At 15th Annual Schools Fair Saturday, April 20

The northwest Denver community will show its support for academic achievement at the 15th Annual NW Schools Fair on Saturday, April 20.

The event will be held at North High School, 2960 N. Speer Blvd., from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The theme this year is "United In Learning."

The free event attracts thousands of community members, teachers, students and parents – people who enjoy celebrating the achievements of northwest Denver children and those who contribute to them.

This year's fair features 18 northwest Denver schools hosting booths to show off student achievement. Students from northwest Denver schools will perform in a talent show and children will be able to take part in sports clinics and demonstrations. A highlight will be 100 children competing in the 4th Annual NW Chess Challenge.

Special additions to this year's fair include The Children's Museum of Denver participating with their "Earth Balloon," the Museum of Nature and Science "Hall Of Life" display, and presentations from the Butterfly Pavilion and the Denver Fire Department's "Fire House" and K-9 Unit.

This event is sponsored by the NW Coalition 4 Better Schools. Everyone is invited because "Student Success Is Everybody's Business."
