Colorado State Spelling Bee Includes 26 Top Spellers From Denver Public Schools

Denver Public Schools will send 26 spellers to the Colorado State Spelling Bee tomorrow (Saturday, March 16) at the Colorado Convention Center.

The morning portion of the written test is closed, but the afternoon session, beginning at 1 p.m., is free and open to the public.

The winner of the bee receives an all-expense paid trip to represent Colorado at the 75th Annual Scripps Howard National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. beginning May 26.

The Bee is sponsored by the Rocky Mountain News.
