The district's annual School Satisfaction
Survey will be distributed beginning Monday, February 4. Distribution
should be complete by Friday, February 8.
"School Satisfaction Survey Week" highlights the district's
commitment to periodically assess the views of all constituents
on the key elements of each school's educational program. The survey,
administered on behalf of each school's Collaborative Decision-Making
team, solicits the views of all parents, students, support staff,
and teachers on classroom learning, homework, school safety, discipline,
teacher expectations, school-parent communication, and preparation
for CSAP.
Depending on the audience and student's grade level, the survey
includes anywhere from 15 to 26 questions.
Student, support staff, and teacher surveys will be administered
at each school during the week. Parent surveys will be sent home
with each student at that time. Parents who do not receive a survey
form should contact their child's school. All parent surveys should
be returned by U.S. mail directly to the District Assessment and
Testing Department to assure confidentiality of individual responses.
Parents are asked to return all surveys by March 1, 2002. Participants
are not asked their names, although each school is identified on
the survey form.
The surveys will be compiled and the results released in April.
All school and district summary data will be available to the public.
Individual survey forms remain confidential and will not be released
outside the Department of Assessment and Testing.
Further information is available by contacting Beth Celva or David
Thomas in the Department of Assessment and Testing, 720-423-3736.
