The Denver Board of Education has two formal meetings scheduled for Thursday, January 3 at the administration building, 900 Grant Street. Both the 4:00 p.m. meeting and the public hearing will be held in the First Floor Board Room.

The following is a look at the tentative agenda items:

4:00 P.M. – Staff Reports

• English Language Acquisition Program (Annual Report)
  
• Pioneer Charter School Renewal Application
  
• Program Evaluation: K-8 Schools
  
• School Design Proposals:
  1. Knight Academy – All-Day Kindergarten
  2. Steck School Design Modification

7:00 P.M. – Public Hearing

To date, 11 speakers had signed up to talk about such issues as Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Manual High School, boundary issues, and the school-year calendar proposal.

An agenda for the work session portion of the evening is still being developed.
