Students from the Professional Floral
Design Program at Emily Griffith Opportunity School will show off
their skills and designing abilities at an Open House on Thursday,
February 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in room 238.
The Open House is free and open to the public. Students will display
floral arrangements made from both fresh and silk flowers.
Professional Floral Design students spend 600 hours learning the
correct handling and care of flowers, floral design elements, and
how to put their creativity to work. Hands-on training is done in
a 400-hour lab setting, and a 200-hour internship completes the
program. Program graduates are quickly employed by the floral industry.
The Open House will have many terrific photo opportunities. Please
feel free to stop by.
