Tonight, Asbury Elementary School and the Asbury PTA will host a "Family Book Night" featuring a variety of readers dressed in costumes from books they will share with students.

Every student who attends will be allowed to pick a book to keep from a supply donated by the Asbury PTA. Students – and moms and dads – are encouraged to attend the event in their pajamas and bring pillows and blankets.

Among the readers will be Denver District Attorney Bill Ritter, Denver firefighters from Station 16, and others from the Asbury community. Asbury Elementary School is located at 1320 E. Asbury Ave. The event will run from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. this evening (Thursday, January 10).
