Pay For Performance Analysis; Proposed Boundary Changes; Charter School Recommendations

The Denver Board of Education has three meetings scheduled for Thursday, December 6 at the administration building, 900 Grant Street. The following is a look at the tentative agenda items:

4:00 P.M. - Staff Reports (First Floor Board Room)

  • Staff recommendations on four pending charter school applications (New Connections Academy and Living Education Center have both withdrawn their applications)
  • Report by Community Assistance and Training Center on the district's ongoing Pay For Performance Pilot Program.
  • English Language Acquisition Program - Annual Report
  • Boundary Changes:
    1. Lowry Elementary School
    2. Gateway Elementary School
    3. Parkfield Middle School
    4. North Central Middle School
    5. Grant Middle School
    6. Stapleton Development
  • Program Evaluation - Wyatt-Edison Charter School
  • Stapleton Program Design

6:30 P.M. - Work Session (Room 706)

  • Medicare Choice Plans
  • DPS Priorities for 2002 Legislative Session
  • Superintendent's Update

7:00 P.M. - Public Hearing - At this time, no speakers have signed up.
