Thomas Jefferson High School Student Named State Farm Most Valuable Participant

Alicia Hess, a junior at Thomas Jefferson High School, was recently named the State Farm Most Valuable Participant.

The State Farm MVP award is given to two students in Colorado each week for their academic records and achievements in a Colorado High School Activities Association sanctioned activity.

Hess has participated in Volleyball while maintaining a 4.0 grade-point average. Denver State Farm Agent Stan Humbargar will present the award to Alicia Hess at 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday, December 11 at the school (3950 S. Holly St.)

Volleyball head coach Kathleen Nickless said Hess is an "outstanding athlete, wonderfully nice and mature" and a "great team motivator."
