Lincoln and Harrington Elementary
students, parents and community members will come together to honor
and remember all those who have fought for our country and those
who are currently working to preserve its freedom.
"Our Veteran's Day ceremony will help all individuals to better
understand the meaning of this day," said Daphne Hunter, Lincoln
Elementary principal. "It will help everyone to recognize the
importance of remembering, recognizing and thanking our country's
veterans for all that they have done."
Lincoln's ceremony will be held at their flagpole on Friday, November
9th at 9:00 a.m. Dan Pagliasotti will sing the National Anthem,
war veteran George Gray will speak and students Nicole Flannery
and Elise Matatall will read their original works.
Harrington's program entitled "Celebrate America and Veterans
through Music" will be held on Friday, November 9th from 9:15
a.m. to 10:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Several veteran
organizations will be in attendance for the school's donation of
